Floor Manager – Dishoom
About Dishoom
We are proudly recognised as one of the best places to work in Hospitality. Caring for people is at the core of what we do, and we strive to make life at Dishoom the best it can be. Since 2010, our restaurants celebrate the spirit of Irani cafés and the vibrant culture of Bombay. With cafés across London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, our Permit Rooms in Brighton, Cambridge and Oxford, and expanding bars/cafés—such as the newly opened Portobello bar-café—plus our London-based kitchens, we ensure our guests can enjoy our dishes at home as well.
Beyond running successful, high-volume outlets, we actively contribute to meaningful causes. From tree-planting initiatives with our teams in the UK and India, to sharing Rakhis with guests, and through our mission to feed children with Meal for a Meal (we have already provided 20 million meals since January 2024, with each Dishoom-walle supporting 55 meals per shift).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
