About the Role…
At Soho House, the Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operation, working closely with the General Manager and management team. Your primary duties include managing a floor team to deliver both a successful and efficient service while upholding Soho House service standards. Additionally, you’ll ensure all members and guests experience approachable, elevated hospitality from the first greeting through order-taking, recommendations, and payment processing.
Responsibilities
Key Duties
- Drive exceptional service standards by creating and refining systems that enhance the guest, member, and staff experience.
- Lead training sessions on Soho House food and drink programs through storytelling, demos, and initiatives such as “Cookhouse”, “House Tonic”, and “Club School”.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless, consistent, and brand-aligned guest interactions.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and assessing candidates alongside the People & Development team.
- Oversee onboarding and development of new team members to ensure confidence, professionalism, and a guest-focused mindset.
- Gather and act on member feedback with the Membership team to continually enhance service and offerings.
- Train and coach staff in Soho House core values, roles, and service standards to build a polished, high-performing team.
- Supervise daily operations to ensure tasks are completed on time, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Create efficient staff rotas, manage labour costs, and minimise overtime for operational excellence.
- Enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintains calm, quick problem-solving during peak pressure
- Must demonstrate:
- Exceptional hospitality and approachability
- Passion for customer service
- Respect for colleagues and guests
- Competency in defined training schedules and “Club School” initiatives
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
- Can take direction while working both autonomously and collaboratively as a team
