Operational Leader

We are seeking an operational leader to manage front-of-house operations and drive a high-performing service environment on a fixed term full-time basis. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you will lead a team of service assistants, optimise floor efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas. You will champion excellent customer service while maintaining rigorous health, safety, and food hygiene standards across all service points.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage staff rotas, handle sickness absence, assign floor sections, and train new team members
  • Conduct regular appraisals, assess staff performance, and resolve on-floor conflicts
  • Lead pre-service briefings, allocate daily duties, and provide hands-on support during peak hours
  • Maintain a welcoming environment, resolve escalated customer complaints promptly, and lead by example with professional service
  • Execute food safety procedures, maintain accurate SFBB records, and enforce strict COSHH, allergen control, and health and safety regulations
  • Monitor food portioning, presentation, and delivery speed against facility standards
  • Report equipment issues to the Chef Manager and support special hospitality bookings and college events

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
