Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Floorlayer role based in Sheffield. The Floorlayer will prepare subfloors, including cleaning, levelling, and repairing surfaces to ensure proper installation. Daily tasks include:

- Measuring and cutting materials
- Installing a range of commercial flooring products (such as vinyl, carpet tiles, safety flooring, and LVT)
- Finishing edges and transitions to a high standard

The role involves:
- Reading and interpreting site plans
- Working safely with adhesives and tools
- Coordinating with site managers and other trades to meet project deadlines
- Carrying out inspections, minor repairs, and ensuring all work complies with company quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- Practical flooring installation skills, including subfloor preparation, accurate measuring, cutting, and fitting of commercial flooring materials.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, with strong attention to detail and quality of finish.
- Knowledge of site health and safety practices, safe use of hand and power tools, and handling of adhesives and materials.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues.
- Proven experience as a Floorlayer or in a similar trade role within commercial or industrial environments.
- Willingness to travel to different sites as required within the region and occasionally across the UK.
- Relevant vocational qualifications or apprenticeships in flooring or construction are advantageous.
- Valid UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
