About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Floristry to join our Horticulture and Floristry team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that inspires learners, supports strong progress, and prepares students for further study or skilled employment within the floristry industry.
You will play a key role in delivering an ambitious curriculum, maintaining high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, and contributing to the continued growth and success of floristry programmes aligned to industry and employer needs.
You will
- plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-sequenced floristry lessons that enable learners to develop knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours over time
- adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND, high needs, or requiring additional support
- track learner progress closely, provide timely developmental feedback, and put effective interventions in place where needed
- contribute to recruitment, enrolment, induction, open events and other promotional activities for the department and College
- support quality improvement through accurate record keeping, curriculum development, team collaboration, and participation in internal and external quality assurance processes

About You
You will bring:
- a degree, professional qualification, or equivalent relevant subject expertise, including a minimum of a Level 3 Technical Certificate in Floristry
- sector experience and strong specialist knowledge in floristry, with the ability to translate this into high-quality teaching and learning
- a teaching qualification relevant to the level of programme, or willingness to achieve one
- a clear understanding of how learners make progress, how teaching can be adapted to support diverse needs, and the importance of safeguarding and positive learner behaviour
- excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills, alongside a collaborative, reflective and solutions-focused approach
