At Baker Hughes, our Engineering and Technology team delivers innovative solutions that help customers optimize production, improve asset performance, and reduce operational risk. Our Production Assurance and Systems Modelling team supports major upstream developments worldwide, providing industry-leading expertise in flow assurance, CFD, and production system optimization.
Partner with the best
As a Flow Assurance CFD Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering flow assurance and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies across concept, FEED, and EPC project phases. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated production system solutions for complex offshore and onshore developments.
Fuel your passion
As a Flow Assurance CFD Engineer, you will be:
- Delivering flow assurance and CFD studies while meeting project cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Performing steady-state and transient multiphase thermohydraulic analysis for wells, pipelines, and subsea production systems.
- Conducting CFD simulations to evaluate thermal performance, erosion, and flow-induced vibration (FIV) behaviour.
- Collaborating with subsurface, subsea, and process engineering teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
- Developing technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and project stakeholders.
- Supporting project execution activities during concept, FEED, and EPC phases.
- Contributing to proposals, tenders, and business development opportunities.
- Helping customers optimize production system performance, integrity, and operational reliability.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have experience in Flow Assurance and/or CFD engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Have experience supporting projects through concept, FEED, and/or EPC stages.
- Have a solid understanding of multiphase flow, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and production system behaviour.
- Have experience using flow assurance software such as OLGA, PIPESIM/PipePhase, PVTSim, Multiflash, and/or PIPENET.
- Have experience using CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, and/or STAR-CCM+.
- Have knowledge of flow assurance challenges including hydrate formation, wax deposition, asphaltenes, sand management, or erosion.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Desired Characteristics
- Have experience performing thermal, erosion, or flow-induced vibration CFD analyses.
- Have exposure to subsea production systems including trees, manifolds, flowlines, and pipelines.
- Have professional chartership status or be working toward chartered accreditation.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Be able to work effectively within multidisciplinary and global project teams.
