Permanent Vacancies: FLT Counterbalance Driver
Are you an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver seeking a new job opportunity, are you happy working 12 hour days or night shifts and do you hold an ITSSAR or RTITB or Brittop accredited license that is currently within 3 or 5 years?
We are actively seeking several FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a leading food manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire. This role is a fixed term contract with the company and is likely to last until the end of March 2027.
Shift Pattern Available
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (and every other Sunday) 12hr days shifts: A GBP 13.31ph
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday (and every other Sunday) 12 hour day shifts: A GBP 13.31ph
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (and every other Saturday) 12hr night shifts: A GBP 15.13ph
The hiring manager is looking for people who have a minimum of 12 months experience driving a counterbalance forklift truck.
They are keen to interview as soon as possible with the aim of people starting week commencing 3rd of August.
What You Will Do
- Operate the Counterbalance truck in line with Health and Safety regulations, ensuring safe and careful manoeuvring in a busy warehouse.
- Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport, including unloading deliveries and relocating items to their designated storage locations.
- Keep forklift areas free from obstructions and contribute to a clean, hazard-free working environment.
- Regularly check the Counterbalance truck for faults or damage and escalate any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the team to support smooth warehouse operations and timely order movement.
- Follow company procedures and use the correct PPE for the task to maintain a high standard of hygiene and presentation.

What You Will Bring
- An accredited Counterbalance forklift licence that has been refreshed or passed within the last 3 to 5 years.
- At least 12 months experience operating a Counterbalance forklift or Combi truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding environment.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality, with a dependable attitude and a commitment to reliability.
- Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions.
