FLT Driver
FLT Driver (Reach Truck) – Tankersley Distribution Centre
Join our team at Company Shop Group (CSG), part of Biffa, the largest commercial redistributor of surplus food and household products in the UK.
We are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic, and challenge-driven candidates to join our Tankersley Distribution Centre (South Yorkshire) as an FLT Driver.
About the Role The role of an FLT Driver is essential to our operational function. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently moving produce across our warehouse. Due to the nature of this role, experience is mandatory.

Shift and Location Details
Shift Pattern
- Reach FLT Driver (37.5 hours per week)
- Sunday to Thursday shifts
- Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The role involves working in both chill and ambient departments.

Company Shop Group, Tankersley Distribution Centre Wentworth Way, Wentworth Industrial Estate, Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire S75 3DH
Pay Rate
£14.75 per hour
Important: Our operations run 24/7, and successful candidates will be required to work bank holidays.
Requirements & Responsibilities
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
To ensure operational efficiency and compliance:
- Safely and accurately handle all warehouse stock movements.
- Complete all pre-shift safety checks and report any vehicle faults/accidents/near-misses to your line manager immediately.
- Adhere to warehouse management system processes, ensuring accurate picks/dispatches.
- Systematically move pallets and efficient handling of stock across departments.
- Replenish picking areas as required while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Follow a Clean As You Go policy at all times.
- Ensure consistent documentation and regulatory compliance (Health & Safety/Environmental procedures).

Skills & Experience Needed
- Valid driving licence: AITT, RTITB, ITSSAR or NPORS Reach Truck & Counterbalance Certification (essential).
- Warehouse experience in a high-volume environment.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Reliable with good timekeeping.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
