FLT Warehouse Operative

Location: Widnes

Salary: Competitive (DOE)

Reference: ASPLIV

Our client, a well-established business based in Widnes, is looking to recruit an experienced FLT Warehouse Operative to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Using a gantry crane to move materials into designated loading areas.
  • Preparing customer orders to meet quality standards and tight dispatch deadlines.
  • Loading HGVs using a forklift.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and uploading delivery notes and photographs using internal computer systems.
  • Carrying out general warehouse and site maintenance, ensuring walkways and working areas remain clean, tidy and safe.
  • Supporting stock movement and general warehouse operations as required.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Following all health & safety procedures and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Undertaking any other duties commensurate with the role.

Requirements:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
  • Previous warehouse experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience handling steel products or heavy materials would be advantageous.
  • Gantry crane experience is desirable, although training may be provided.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
  • Good understanding of health & safety within a warehouse environment.

Package Details:

  • £29,000 per annum
  • Rotating 06:00-14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Friday
  • Overtime available – x1.5 weekdays / x2 after midday Saturdays
  • 20 days annual leave + Bank Holiday
  • Company pension
