Flu Nurse (4-Month Contract) – London, Central, The City & Canary Wharf
Role: Flu Nurse – Fixed Term Contract (1 Sept – 24 Dec 2026) Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) | Days: Monday to Friday Location: London, Central, The City & Canary Wharf Salary: £40,000 per annum (pro rata)
About the Role
It’s that time of the year again! HCA Healthcare UK is recruiting Flu Nurses to support our Primary Care Team during the 2026 Flu Campaign. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering comprehensive flu immunisation across our healthcare facilities.
As a Flu Nurse, you will administer vaccines, ensure vaccination records are maintained, and compliance with safety and storage protocols is upheld. This position requires travel across HCA corporate client sites and facilities (travel expenses covered).

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assess patients’ wellness and vaccination suitability in line with the Patient Group Directive (PGD)
- Administer intramuscular flu vaccinations as required
- Monitor patients’ reactions to vaccinations during administration
- Implement infection-control policies and procedures
- Ensure secure and correct storage of flu vaccines
- Maintain inventory of vaccination supplies

What You’ll Bring
- A completed degree in Nursing
- NMC Registration (active)
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Sharps management
- Vaccination procedures
- Safety protocols
- Vaccine storage requirements
- Essential experience:
- Preferred in NHS or private sector nursing
- Personal attributes:
- Patience and compassion for patients with diverse physical/mental/emotional needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Professional skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Computer literacy
