Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) – Welsh-Medium (All Subject Specialisms)
About the Role
Elementa Support Services is partnering with welcoming and supportive Welsh-medium secondary schools across Cardiff to recruit enthusiastic, motivated, and fluent Welsh-speaking Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) across all subject specialisms.
Start Date: 01/09/2026 Type: Long-term / Permanent / Supply opportunities available Location: Cardiff and surrounding areas Hours: Full-time (part-time considered) Salary: Paid to scale
Essential Requirements
- Fluent Welsh speaker
- DBS & EWC registration (or willing to apply)

The Employee Contract of Employment highlights a commitment to annual invalidate school-employed NQTs. Additional consideration will be given to NQTs who have previously completed an NQT Induction Programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in your specialist subject in alignment with the Curriculum for Wales
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Assess, monitor, and support pupils’ progress effectively
- Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding
- Collaborate with colleagues and wider school staff
- Participate in professional development and engage in school life
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or soon to be qualified
- EWC registration (or willingness to apply)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality teaching
- Resilience and commitment to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential

- DBS Enhanced Disclosure £64.20 (fees waived if subscribed to the Update Service)
