GoShorty prioritizes strong policy coverage, broad acceptance criteria, and a fast, efficient customer journey, simplifying transactions for both insurers and customers while meeting the needs of tech-driven consumers.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Poynton, with flexibility for part of the workweek to be completed from home. The Flutter app developer will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that support GoShorty’s digital insurance offerings, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience. The role also involves:
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Contributing to code reviews
- Participating in the continuous improvement of development practices and architecture
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Software Development and Programming, with hands-on experience building Flutter applications for iOS and Android.
- Knowledge of Databases and data modeling, including integrating mobile apps with backend data services and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) or equivalent styling approaches for Flutter and web-related components.
- Experience with Integration of third-party services, payment gateways, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
- Proficiency in Dart and common Flutter packages, with an understanding of state management patterns (e.g., Provider, Bloc, Riverpod).
- Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code and use version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in InsureTech or fintech is a plus.
