FM Compliance Engineer
FM Compliance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Base Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in our Perth, Havant, Reading, or Thatcham office
Salary: £35,200 – £52,800 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + range of benefits including financial, wellbeing, and family support.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join as an FM Compliance Engineer (electrical bias), where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, supportive, and fully compliant environments across diverse UK and Irish property portfolios.
You’ll drive a strong safety-first culture, balancing clarity, care, and collaboration to address complex compliance challenges proactively. In partnership with FM teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you’ll refine governance around statutory maintenance and risk management, guaranteeing every site operates with confidence, integrity, and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Build collaborative partnerships with FM teams and contractors, fostering shared accountability in compliance and safety.
- Plan, deliver, and monitor statutory maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory and organisational standards across all sites.
- Provide clear, insightful reporting and analysis to spotlight efficiency gains, risk areas, or procedural improvements.
- Lead and support site audits, maintaining accurate compliance records while ensuring readiness.
- Oversee contractor performance, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with contractual obligations.

Requirements
- Experience in electrical compliance, technical assurance, or engineering within facilities management (FM) or estates, with a UK/Irish portfolio focus.
- Strong grasp of statutory compliance in mechanical, HVAC, fire safety, and asbestos—extending beyond electrical.
- Communication excellence: Ability to explain technical details clearly and build trust with both specialists and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical precision: Analogie data-driven insights for risk management and compliance process optimisation.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CIEEM, CET) alongside a commitment to continuous professional development.
