Job Title: FM Projects Implementation Manager
About the Role
Moorfields Eye Hospital, in partnership with University College London (UCL), is constructing a new Centre for Eye Health in St Pancras, London (via Oriel Estates Services). The facility is scheduled to open in summer 2027 and will serve as a state-of-the-art centre for advanced eye health care, attracting top ophthalmic scientists, educators, and clinicians.
As the new centre undergoes early operational adjustments, asset optimisation, and infrastructure improvements, a structured programme of minor works, coordination, and management will be required. The FM Projects Implementation Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering these projects, ensuring seamless submission of the new facility while maintaining alignment with governance and budgetary frameworks.
This key leadership position requires an experienced professional who can drive forward a successful operational transition for both partners (Moorfields and Oriel Estates Services). The right candidate will oversee minor works during operational commissioning, ensuring adherence to timelines, costs, quality, and compliance—all while supporting a team committed to a smooth move into the new facility.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Management
- Develop structured delivery plans for all minor works projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost tracking.
- Coordinate—and potentially manage—minor works during the operational commissioning phase between pre-completion and full occupancy.
- Ensure works align with operational requirements by liaising with stakeholders, contractors, and service providers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
