Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistant – Restaurant, High Legh Garden Centre
Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour, dependent on age.
We are seeking a Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistant to join our team in our restaurant located at High Legh Garden Centre.
The Role: Hours & Flexibility
- 20 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends
- Flexibility is essential – ability to adapt to varying schedules is a must
Key Responsibilities
As a Front of House Assistant, you will:
- Provide excellent customer service, take orders, and deliver food and beverages
- Promote our food and beverage menus, offering tailored recommendations to customers
- Maintain high standards in hygiene and cleanliness across all front-of-house areas
- Process payments efficiently at electronic till points
- Ensure smooth operations in collaboration with FOH and kitchen teams

Daily Duties Include:
- Setting up and maintaining counters to company standards
- Offering menu presentations, serving, and assisting with customer selections
- Providing counter service and preparing beverages (barista skills preferred but training provided)
- Delivering chef-prepared meals to tables
- Preparing tables with meticulous attention to hygiene and cleanliness
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as required
- Closing front-of-house areas each day to the highest standards
- Assisting with back-of-house duties when necessary

- A friendly, engaging personality and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- A hardworking attitude, with the ability to maintain efficiency under pressure
- Shift flexibility, including work on weekends when required
- Basic computer literacy for electronic till operations

Note: Barista skills are preferred but will be fully trained on-the-job.
