FOH Supervisor

FOH Supervisor – Holroyd Howe, Winchester House School

We are currently seeking a professional, proactive, and service-driven FOH Supervisor to join our dedicated team at our private boarding school in Brackley, Northamptonshire. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality and an attention to detail.


About the Position

The successful candidate will:

  • Salary: £13.00 per hour, over 37.5 working hours per week
  • Work hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (8 hours + 30 minutes unpaid break)
  • Working schedule: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) during term time only (170 days total, 165 working days + 5 inset days), typical of a school catering environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of catering services, ensuring smooth service across dining rooms and back-of-house (BOH) areas
  • Lead and motivate front-of-house teams to maintain high service standards and member satisfaction
  • Assist in staff training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Create and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment
  • Support management in policies and service enhancements, including guest event coordination
  • Maintain flexible availability for occasional weekend engagements

Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Proven supervisory experience in catering (hospitality, school, or restaurant sectors)
    • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and conflict resolution
    • Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to fast-changing demands
    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Nice to have:
    • Prior experience in an educational or boarding school setting
