Food and Beverage Assistant Manager
Job Title: Food and Beverage Assistant Manager
The Role Outline: Your Shift At A Glance
Running a vibrant pub is demanding – but adding high-volume Meetings and Events (M&E)? That’s when we need a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager who thrives on seamless transitions. Picture this:
- Pouring the perfect pint in the Pub & Grill.
- Executing a flawless 300-person gala dinner.
- Driving consistent standards, profit performance, and an obsessive focus on guest experience across every Village venue.
Why Village?
At Village, hospitality isn’t just a job—it’s a way of life. We believe in personality, genuine connections, and exceptional experiences for guests and colleagues.
Here’s what we value: ✔ Leadership with heart – Previous supervisory or management experience helps, but your attitude and energy matter just as much. ✔ Energy that drives = multitaskers who guide – Love owning both the pub floor and events’ intensity when they collide? ✔ A team that lifts as one – We’re the village, and together, we can take on the toughest shifts with passion (and great pints).
How the Village Thrives
We thrive on four core principles:
-
We Can & We Do
- Drive commercial performance: Hit revenue, beverage gross profit, and payroll targets.
- Consistency matters—whether in the pub’s bustle or an M&E event.
-
We Will
- Dignity and no ego – Support cross-departmental work and step into Duty Management boldly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
