Due to the recent and upcoming further expansion of our business operations, CH on Peel Pty Ltd (trading as Central Hospitality Group) requires additional full time Food and Beverage Attendants.

Our operations are situated at Tamworth, in North West NSW, and include:

  • CH Boutique Hotel (62 rooms)
  • Heritage listed DECO Wine Bar & Restaurant
  • Hopscotch Restaurant
  • The Pig & Tinderbox
  • The Pavilion Function and Conference Centre
  • The Bureau by Red Ribbon
  • Dungowan Brewery

The Position

You will have an opportunity to further develop your hospitality skills and experience work in a variety of areas across our food service sites. The position includes attending to food and beverage duties and bar work. This position is suited for candidates that like to work in a fast-paced supportive team environment, with high quality table service experience preferred. The successful applicant must be available across a 7-day roster including nights and weekends.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall running of your designated sections of the venue, leading by example and maintaining high standards. You must be highly motivated and able to manage operational elements of the business from front to back of house. You will be passionate about your job, have a superior knowledge of food and beverage, understand the order of service, and ensure our clients leave having had an all-round unforgettable dining experience.

Key duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Explain the menu to guests, assisting those with special dietary needs or preferences as well as provide suitable assistance when recommending beverages
  • Maximize sales opportunities by upselling items
  • Ensure accuracy whilst ordering and delivering food and beverage orders
  • Liaise with the Kitchen on special requests or delayed meals
  • Clear and reset tables as well as ensuring service areas are clean and tidy
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
  • Promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and promoting general OHS practices

The Person

  • RSA Certificate Essential
  • Diploma is hospitality operations or similar is desirable but not required
  • Previous Bar experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Great presentation and customer service skills
  • Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team
  • Willingness to jump into any task required, cleaning, food preparation and customer service
  • Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
  • Must always be well presented, have a great work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure
  • A Positive can-do attitude and the ability to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
