Ready to help deliver exceptional food service in a bustling kitchen? Parkdean Resorts is seeking a motivated and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our teams at our award-winning holiday parks.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our chefs to prepare high-quality meals for our guests. From ingredient prep to maintaining kitchen standards, your dedication will help create unforgettable dining experiences.
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Commis Chefs to ensure operations run smoothly, all while upholding the highest levels of hygiene, efficiency, and hospitality.
What You Will Do
Our Kitchen Assistant role includes responsibilities in:

Food Preparation
- Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for service.
- Assisting in basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs.

Order Management & Storage
- Receiving deliveries and checking stock for quality and expiry dates.
- Properly storing and rotating stock to maintain freshness and minimise waste.

Kitchen Maintenance & Hygiene
- Keeping all areas—appliances, ovens, work surfaces, and dishes—spotless.
- Contributing to a safe, efficient workspace where teamwork thrives.

- Team & System Responsibilities

About You
To excel as our Kitchen Assistant, we’re looking for:
- A team player with a positive, energetic attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic manual dexterity and practical food preparation skills.
- Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to work across time slots—evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to complete training with support).
