Role Description
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Maldron Hotel Glasgow City in Glasgow. This role oversees daily food and beverage operations, ensuring high service standards in restaurants, bars, and event spaces. The supervisor coordinates staff schedules, supports team members during shifts, and monitors quality, presentation, and hygiene in all service areas. They handle guest queries and feedback, assist with training new team members, and help drive revenue through upselling and efficient service. The role collaborates closely with the kitchen and hotel management teams to ensure smooth operation and a consistent, welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

- Strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, delegation, and performance support.
- Solid understanding of Service Standards and Food Service, including quality control and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to guest needs and work effectively with colleagues.
- Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, or bar supervision is beneficial.
- Knowledge of basic cash handling, stock control, and POS systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Formal hospitality or catering qualifications are desirable but not essential.
