Thunderbird Fried Chicken Assistant Manager
Serve up bold flavour and unforgettable experiences! We’re looking for a passionate and energetic Thunderbird Fried Chicken Assistant Manager to help lead one of our exciting quick-service venues. About the Role
As a Thunderbird Fried Chicken Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations. You’ll lead high-standard shifts, develop the team, deliver brand excellence, and take ownership of the business when the Manager is away.
From food quality to team development to guest satisfaction, you will help ensure Thunderbird Fried Chicken delivers an experience guests can’t wait to come back for.
What You Will Be Doing
- Acting as the Thunderbird brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s culture and standards come to life on the holiday park.
- Supporting the restaurant manager to deliver the restaurant’s Profit & Loss (P&L) and monitor variable costs to identify opportunities that maximise profitability.
- Placing, receiving, and managing orders efficiently.
- Leading Gold Standard shifts that keep the team motivated, focused, and consistently driven to deliver an unparalleled guest experience.
- Developing Crew and Supervisors through training plans and a structured training curriculum.
- Forecasting sales in line with budget and targets, while monitoring internal and external trends to make informed decisions.
- Assisting the restaurant manager in recruitment and schedule management, including conducting interviews, creating rotas, and handling onboarding.
- Completing stock counts in the absence of the restaurant manager and performing administrative tasks on their behalf.
- Attending Manager meetings when necessary.
- Representing the restaurant during a food hygiene audit, demonstrating full compliance with food safety and health & safety legislation.
- Leading the team in breading, frying, plating, and building some of the best fried chicken in town.
- Taking orders, serving food, and fostering relationships with guests to turn first-time visitors into loyal regulars.

About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have managerial or supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in Quick Service or Fast-Food restaurants.
- Possess hands-on knowledge of GP, sales, and labour management.
- Are knowledgeable about food safety standards.
- Are guest-focused and capable of working at pace without compromising standards, delivering outstanding experiences every time.
- Feel confident thriving in a fast-paced and demanding food and beverage environment.
- Have the flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required.
