Role Overview

We are seeking a pro-active and engaging Food & Beverage Assistant Manager.

  • Working closely with the Food & Beverage Operations Manager
  • Deliver consistently high standards of hospitality within the department
  • Oversee daily operations, supporting supervisors and ensuring efficient, friendly and professional service delivery
  • Lead by visible example: running F&B services, supporting staff, and maintaining team presence

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Coordinate services to ensure smooth, high-standard delivery with exceptional customer service
  • Create and monitor staff scheduling, manage levels based on business needs
  • Monitor wage control and efficiency, ensuring commercial accuracy
  • Assist with reservation management, reviewing efficiency and service flow
  • Maintain hospitality areas at the highest presentation standards

Team Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership, support colleagues, and foster a positive team culture
  • Appraise staff performance, offering feedback for development
  • Support staff training and ongoing professional growth
  • Embed sustainable service practices across the team

Guest Experience & Events:

  • Create a warm welcome for every guest, enhancing engagement
  • Ensure compliance with standards and reliable operational delivery
  • Manage and support events and large bookings, ensuring seamless execution

Development & Systems:

  • Contribute to improving systems and operational practices
  • Bring hands-on, pro-active problem-solving to daily challenges

Essential Requirements

  • Outstanding communication & customer service, with a passion for service standards and guest engagement
  • Impeccable presentation and sustained attention to detail
  • Warm, professional, caring manner
  • Flexibility to work business hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Proven supervisory or management experience in hospitality or similar environments
  • Ability to confidently run busy service areas
  • Strong organisational skills, adept at scheduling and staff coordination
  • A naturally leading personality who motivates, develops others, and excels as a team player
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience in hosting events and enacting a meticulous service plan
  • Eagerness to work within a dynamic hospitality context
