You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating truly memorable and impressive 5-star experiences for our guests.
About Thornbury Castle Hotel
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has almost completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program, bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past.
- Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol.
- Offers 26 rooms and suites.
- Features an award-winning restaurant, bar, and two unique meeting and conference spaces.
- Food style: Modern British, using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and across the southwest.
- Operates 7 days a week, serving:
- Breakfast
- Afternoon tea
- Dinner
- Sunday lunch
- Occasional weddings and functions

Job Description
[£12.71 per hour] (depending on experience)
- Full-time permanent position: 40 hours per week (including evening shifts and weekends).
- Temporary summer job (discussed on application).
- 8-hour shifts between 7am and 11pm.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, take orders and serve food and drinks.
- Answer all queries about the menu (including drinks) and make suggestions.
- Take ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergies.
- Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures.
- Set up dining areas and process charges and payments.
- Effectively communicate with all colleagues and managers.
- Handle guest queries and complaints with a calm and mature approach.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship required).
- Dedicated team player with strong communication skills.
- Natural passion and flair for the industry and food.
- Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative when needed.
- Ambition to succeed at the highest levels.
- Willingness to learn new things.
