Food & Beverage Manager - York
Hello York
Are you ready to make your mark in York? Pearly Cow York is on the hunt for a Food & Beverage Operations Manager who can keep all plates spinning (and glasses clinking) across our vibrant F&B scene.
From the indulgent delights of our Pearly Cow Restaurant to our stylish spaces and buzzing events offering, you'll be at the helm of an operation that's anything but ordinary. This is your chance to bring serious flavour, personality, and a touch of Yorkshire charm to one of York's most exciting hospitality destinations.
This is a full-time role (45 hours per week) with a pay package of 51k OTE. (Basic Salary of 43k)
What You'll Be Doing
- Steering the ship across all F&B outlets - Pearly Cow Restaurant, Rhubarb bar, and events spaces (captain's hat optional, leadership essential)
- Keeping Pearly Cow running smoother than a perfectly shucked oyster, even at breakfast!
- Driving revenue like it's race day at York Racecourse - think creative events, clever upselling, and packed-out spaces
- Leading, coaching, and inspiring a team that's as warm and welcoming as the city itself
- Working closely with our Head Chef to keep menus fresh, seasonal, and seriously tempting
- Making sure every event goes off without a hitch, including our guests getting hitched!
- Watching the numbers as closely as the weather forecast - managing costs, stock, and performance
- Being a visible host who knows when to chat, charm, and check in with our guests

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
