The Caledonian Edinburgh is seeking a Food & Beverage Host to join our distinguished team. Set in the heart of Scotland’s capital, our hotel is synonymous with timeless elegance, refined hospitality, and unforgettable guest experiences.
The Person
- A natural host with a passion for exceptional guest service
- Professional, confident and welcoming in every interaction
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Calm and composed in a busy environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences
- Previous hospitality or guest-facing experience is desirable, though not essential – we pride ourselves on developing future hospitality professionals.

The Role
As our Food & Beverage Host, you will be the first impression of our restaurants and bars, delivering a warm and personalised welcome to every guest. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and support the smooth flow of service while creating an atmosphere of understated luxury.
You will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure every guest experience is seamless, professional and memorable.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with confidence, warmth and professionalism
- Manage reservations, guest arrivals and seating arrangements
- Build positive relationships and anticipate guest needs
- Support the smooth operation of Food & Beverage service
- Handle guest enquiries efficiently and with attention to detail
- Maintain exceptional standards of presentation and hospitality at all times
