As a Food & Beverage Steward at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train
As a Food & Beverage Steward at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for providing an exceptional food and beverage service to all our guests. In this role, you will ensure that all areas are well maintained, carry out back-of-house duties and provide outstanding customer service. Primary Responsibilities Include:
This is a seasonal role which runs from May to December in 2026.
- Providing breakfast, lunch and dinner service each day and carrying out cleaning, mise en place, washing up and maintenance duties.
- Service of pre-lunch and dinner drinks and canapés, afternoon tea and ‘welcome back' drinks.
- Preparing tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses.
- Informing guests about the day's specials and offering menu recommendations on request.
- Assisting with general onboard duties, such as greeting guests, helping with luggage and supporting operational departments.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Hospitality qualification an advantage.
- COSHH knowledge and awareness.
- Good knowledge and understanding of food and wine.
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
