Department: Food & Beverage
Location: Meliá White House, London
Reports to: Food & Beverage Management Team
Salary: £29,198.40 per annum + Service Charge

Mission

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence during every shift. You will lead by example, motivate the team, and maintain the highest standards of hospitality, presentation, and professionalism in line with Meliá brand standards.

Key Responsibilities – Service Excellence

  • Supervise and coordinate the Food & Beverage team during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent guest service
  • Lead by example, supporting and motivating team members to achieve high service standards
  • Allocate duties and responsibilities according to operational needs and business levels
  • Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily specials, VIP guests, events, and operational updates
  • Deliver warm, personalised, and professional guest experiences at all times
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of food and beverage menus and assist guests with recommendations
  • Promote additional sales opportunities and maximise guest satisfaction
  • Support the induction and training of new team members in line with hotel standards
  • Assist with stock monitoring and communicate shortages or ordering requirements to management
  • Take responsibility for the outlet in the absence of management and support operational decision-making
  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hotel standards and health & safety procedures
  • Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations whenever possible

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience within Food & Beverage or luxury hospitality environments
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, proactive, and service-driven attitude
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality service standards
