Welcome to Darjeeling Express
We are searching for a friendly, skilled and energetic Food Expeditor to join our team in one of the UK’s leading Indian Bengali restaurant brands.
Key elements of your role as Food Expeditor
- Serving as the crucial link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team to ensure that all dishes are prepared accurately, presented beautifully, and delivered promptly to our guests.
- You are responsible for managing the flow of orders, maintaining clear communication between chefs, food runners, waiters, and bartenders; and verifying that each plate meets the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards before it leaves the kitchen.

Requirements
- This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking, and the ability to stay organized and calm under pressure to deliver excellent service.
- To join our team you should be a self-starter with a hands-on approach to your tasks, experienced in a similar role with at least 2 years in fine dining, Michelin starred, and busy venues.
- You are passionate about delivering a friendly and professional service, you pride yourself on organization, quality control, time management, inventory control, health and safety compliance, adaptability to menu modifications (special request and allergens management).
