Food Manager

Senior Food Manager – Store Leadership

Bringing bold leadership to your store!

Our management teams don’t just run stores—they drive our business forward by fostering high standards, supporting teams, and shaping exceptional customer experiences. You’ll be a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up changemaker, ensuring product availability, safety, and seamless operations while inspiring colleagues to perform at their best and redefining what “shopping as usual” means for our customers.

Together, we bring our purpose to life—one powerful action at a time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead by example and coach teams to maintain high standards of efficiency and excellence across the entire food hall.
  • Ensure compliance with processes while injecting passion and enthusiasm for exceptional shopkeeping, food quality, and customer service.
  • Deliver every customer’s expectations by ensuring they receive their desired food when shopping, reinforcing why we’re the first choice for food.
  • Manage people and operations—overseeing team performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling, and payroll accuracy, and taking full operational responsibility when required.
  • Provide clear direction and empower colleagues to deliver outstanding service for our customers.

What Makes a Great Food Manager

  • Proven line management experience in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and the ability to coach teams to match this standard.
  • Strong track record of delivering KPIs and other performance metrics.
  • Assertive yet fair handling of disciplinaries, performance issues, and People & Relations matters.
  • Experience in leading operations independently in the absence of senior management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
