Your role as our Retail Section Leader role:
As our Retail Section Leader, you will lead teams of up to 40 colleagues, within a fast-paced busy environment, ensuring outstanding customer experiences and operational efficiency while driving sales and profitability. You will be lead with a hands-on approach across 4 retail outlets including our Food Hall, Children's Boutique, Cookshop and Pet Shop and will be instrumental in supporting the Retail Manager in creating a positive, engaging, and productive store atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities include:
- To lead the day-to-day running of the Retail Departments, incorporating our Food Hall, Children's Boutique, Cookshop and Pet Place Retail departments.
- Leading the Food Safety Management in our Food Hall.
- Communicating with your team daily and actively cascading communication to your Shift Leader and teams.
- Focusing teams on 'We do everything for the customer' and having a service-based mentality.
- Deliver, maximise, and exceed sales targets in store.
- Train and support team members, helping them grow their skills and progress within the business.
- Maintaining department compliance, including food safety management procedures.
- You'll also form part of the Duty Management team managing the store.

We're looking for someone who has a passion for retail, customer service, and achieving business results, you'll also have:
- Proven experience in retail or hospitality management, people-focused with a similar experience of leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Having previous retail or hospitality management is essential and food retailing is desirable.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a large team.
- You'll have lots of autonomy with no set planograms, so you'll have the ability to think on your feet and ooze commercial awareness.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with team members and customers alike.
