White Swan Data is a small but rapidly growing team of mathematicians, data scientists, and software engineers. We design, refine, and deploy world-class probability models across iGaming, quantitative research, and software development. This role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor and football expertise.
As a Football Trader, you will monitor and manage live betting markets, analyse football data, and execute trading decisions to optimise outcomes. No prior trading experience is required—though any background will be viewed positively.
You must be available for weekend work during football season and at least two evening shifts (finishing past 10:30 pm).
Our ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces continuous learning, and approaches problems with a sharp attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor football betting markets, track odds movements, and identify high-probability trading opportunities.
- Analyse live and historical football data to inform and refine trading strategies.
- Adjust prices in real-time to reflect market trends, key events (e.g., goals, injuries, or substitutions).
- Collaborate with analysts to improve model accuracy and forecasting techniques.
- Maintain mental focus and precision under pressure, particularly during live matches.
- Stay current on leagues, team dynamics, player performance, and transfer news to gain a competitive edge.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
