About the Role
You will be joining a well-known brand and take on a pivotal role as Footwear Wholesale Manager based in Central London.
In this position, you will:
- Drive the strategic vision of the brand’s footwear line
- Shape industry trends and enhance brand visibility and profitability
- Develop and execute marketing strategies
- Oversee product development
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams
Your expertise in market data analysis and consumer behaviour will be instrumental in making informed decisions to build long-term success.
Responsibilities
Footwear Strategy & Direction
- Attend, prepare for, and contribute to seasonal briefings, product range reviews, and strategy meetings
- Manage sell-in operations, including range selection, pricing structures, and minimum order quantities
- Ensure full alignment on brand direction, seasonal directives, product guidelines, and compliance requirements
- Liaise across internal teams for brand approvals, marketing assets, co-op activities, and vendor processes
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market conditions, and the competitive landscape
Wholesale Sales & Account Management
- Travel across Europe for key account and distributor meetings, as well as trade shows
- Build and manage the wholesale sales function from the ground up
- Develop and execute sales plans and forecasts aligned with business KPIs
- Act as the primary account contact for retail accounts, distributors, and agents across approved territories
- Identify, develop, and grow new/existing accounts to maximise sales performance
- Own and manage the sales appointments diary, ensuring all meetings adhere to approved windows
- Negotiate new account terms and conditions
- Manage end-of-season negotiations and ensure all new account setup documentation is completed accurately and timely
- Implement credit insurance and pro forma terms where required

Critical Path & Operations
- Set and manage the critical path for accounts and distributors, aligning with the brand’s deadlines
- Communicate critical path milestones to all stakeholders, including sample order deadlines, launches, order windows, and deliveries
- Liaise with Customer Care and Operations to track orders through sampling and production processes
- Use free-to-sell reports and trade opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness
Marketing & Product Development
- Share and coordinate seasonal marketing plans with accounts and distributors
- Negotiate promotional activities and contributions with marketing teams
- Collaborate with internal marketing to ensure on-time asset distribution
- Work closely with the design team on product development, including styling, colourways, pricing strategy, range building, and designer collaborations

Reporting & Performance
- Analyse wholesale sales and account performance, providing timely reports to management
- Conduct regular trade meetings and calls with accounts, distributors, and agents
- Document and report appointment minutes to management
- Maintain in-house sales tools and samples
Requirements
Experience & Expertise
- 4–5+ years of experience in European Brand and/or Key Account Footwear Sales within the fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle retail environment
- Track record managing strategic retail accounts, ideally with a background in lifestyle footwear and fashion markets
- Strong professional network with Pan-European key account contacts
- Ability to build and drive footwear brands with a record of executing brand and sales strategies
- Background in marketing and brand strategy, including:
- Liaison with marketing teams
- Promotional planning and negotiation
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Exceptional organisation, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
