Gas Station & Convenience Retail Manager

Our Cayman Island based clients are recruiting a commercially driven Gas Station & Convenience Retail Manager to lead operations onsite. This is a high-impact retail leadership role where the convenience store is the primary profit engine and the fuel forecourt drives customer traffic and conversion into retail sales.

Eligibility Requirement: Due to visa and work permit requirements, this role is open to UK and Irish passport holders only.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall site performance with a strong focus on inside retail sales growth and margin optimisation
  • Treat the convenience store as the core revenue driver, maximising every customer interaction and transaction value
  • Drive sales across high-margin categories including grocery, beverages, food-to-go, tobacco, and automotive essentials
  • Increase basket size and conversion rates through strategic upselling and in-store merchandising excellence
  • Design and execute effective planograms focused on high-traffic and impulse-buy zones
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, promotions, and consistent stock availability
  • Maintain strict inventory control systems to reduce shrinkage and protect profitability
  • Oversee daily fuel operations including stock monitoring, supply coordination, and uninterrupted fuel availability
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations
  • Track competitor fuel pricing and adjust positioning to remain market competitive
  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team focused on customer service and retail conversion
  • Develop staff into proactive sales associates who actively upsell and enhance customer experience
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational efficiency across forecourt and store
  • Optimise staffing schedules to balance service levels and labour cost efficiency

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
