FOREIGN NATIONAL OFFENDER ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
HMP FIVE WELLS, WELLINGBOROUGH
£36,000 per annum, Full Time, Fixed Term until 31st March 2027 (to be reviewed)

The Role: Make a Real Impact
As a Foreign National Officer (FNO), you will be the primary advocate and administrative specialist for foreign national offenders. You will bridge the gap between our residents and the Home Office, ensuring fair treatment and timely case progression during their custodial journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central contact for FNOs, Home Office Immigration Teams, and IPT.
- Collaborate with OMU, Equalities, and external charities to share best practices.
- Promote staff awareness regarding FNO resources and translation services.
- Support new arrivals with language barriers and immigration status awareness.
- Lead FNO Forums and attend critical ACCT reviews.
- Identify candidates for voluntary departure and highlight vulnerabilities.
- Facilitate immigration surgeries and serve legal paperwork promptly.
- Collate cohort data and manage accuracy checks on P-NOMIS (Nationality, language, status).

About You
We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient, confident, and tenacious individual with a "can-do" attitude. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a busy, fast-paced team.
- You must be able to demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, maintain strict confidentiality, prioritize your workload effectively, and maintain high levels of accuracy, challenging where necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside a proactive approach and strong initiative.
- Flexibility and adaptability are key to dealing with ever-changing scenarios. You must be able to work well under pressure and thrive in a constantly evolving work environment.
- Strong IT skills are required, including proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

- You must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum period of 3 years.
