We are seeking an experienced Civils General Foreman to join a major energy infrastructure project at Trawsfynydd Substation, part of the PTNO project on the GGP framework for National Grid.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of substation upgrades within a rapidly growing sector, offering long-term work and excellent development opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors
  • Oversee daily site operations to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Monitor and report on site activities, progress, and performance
  • Ensure high standards of quality control across all civil engineering works
  • Work closely with the Site Agent and Site Manager to deliver project objectives
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Manage works including FRC (fibre reinforced concrete), ducting, and drainage
  • Support the successful delivery of works within a live substation environment

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Foreman overseeing Civil Engineering projects
  • Experience working on National Grid or EHV electrical substation projects (highly desirable)
  • Strong track record managing site teams and subcontractors
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in a relevant discipline (preferred)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SSSTS (minimum requirement)
  • First Aid certification

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
