Job Description

Role overview

Role

The role is in the Forensic Accounting team in London. The role will cover both investigations and dispute-related matters, however experience of the following is desired:

Fraud and financial investigations/disputes; Insolvency investigations and litigation; Asset tracing and funds flow analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Managing/leading forensic engagements, including the management of internal and external stakeholders and clients; Determining issues for investigation by identifying sources of information and requesting provision of such documentation; Contributing to the development of case strategy; Developing and/or evaluating damages and quantum of claim calculations; Preparation of written findings including investigation, advisory and expert reports; Utilising relevant technology and software programs including e-discovery platforms to create efficiencies; Managing a portfolio of cases efficiently to meet deadlines and resourcing constraints; Preparing budgets and time cost analyses, monitoring progress; Contributing to the running of the practice in the form of compliance, pastoral care, learning and development and/or innovation; Performing line manager duties and providing performance feedback, mentoring and coaching of various team members; and Undertaking business development, marketing and networking activities, both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent); Proven experience leading and supervising team members in a forensic accounting role; Ability to delegate work to team members, review work product and provide direction for revisions or further actions; Ability to balance a high-level view with adequate attention to detail. Identify key issues and recognise areas requiring further investigation; Adept at identifying client needs; Professional demeanour and strong written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated experience in business and strategic planning, managing client relationships; Flexible approach to working.

Desirable

Additional qualifications such as ACFE, expert witness training, blockchain analytics, or Relativity certifications Foreign language skills Legal background or experience working alongside legal teams Knowledge of insolvency proceedings and litigation
