Foreperson – Site Supervisor
We are recruiting for a Foreperson to join Octavius, working in the East Sussex area.
We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
The Role
To support and assist the site management team in managing site activities and working in a safe, profitable manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product in accordance with company requirements and legislation.
In doing so, satisfy the Client's expectations and maximise the financial return to our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety compliance on site.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Represent Octavius’s reputation while staying customer-focused and aligned with company policies and values.
- Oversee projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost control.

About You
- Experience working across multiple disciplines, including:
- Groundworks
- Reinforced concrete (RC) structures
- Steelwork
- Construction
- Reasonable level of IT skills

What You’ll Bring
- Minimum SSSTS competent (preferably SMSTS or working towards SMSTS)
- Valid CSCS card
- PTS certificate (if required)
- Any other identified site-specific training
