Foresight Group is a leading investment manager in real assets and sustainability, with a multi-award-winning Natural Capital team managing one of the UK’s largest privately coordinated afforestation portfolios. With approximately £250 million deployed, the platform integrates timber, carbon, and biodiversity outcomes to deliver both financial returns and measurable environmental impact.

About The Role

This is not a passive analyst seat.

You will operate across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and executing deals to actively managing long-term natural capital assets.

On The Investment Side, You Will

  • Support deal origination, bid analysis, and transaction execution.
  • Build and refine financial models across forestry and land-based investments.
  • Conduct due diligence across legal, financial, and technical workstreams.
  • Evaluate multi-income opportunities including timber, carbon credits, grants, and alternative revenue streams.
  • Prepare Investment Committee materials, including investment papers and analysis.
  • Support live transactions through to acquisition and assist in exit and divestment processes.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts, including fund models and investor materials.

On The Asset Management Side, You Will

  • Support the ongoing management of forestry and natural capital assets.
  • Monitor performance across timber, carbon, and biodiversity-linked revenue streams.
  • Assist with onboarding new assets and integrating operational and financial data.
  • Contribute to internal, board-level, and investor reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party managers to ensure operational delivery.
  • Conduct market research across carbon markets, land values, policy developments, and grant schemes.
  • Support portfolio valuations and performance tracking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
