As Forest Ranger In Charge - Quarry, You Will
- Lead the implementation of operational plans for designated quarry sales programs for a designated team to meet commercial and environmental objectives that are consistent with regional, business and Government policy.
- Monitor the effective, cost efficient and environmentally sound implementation of operational programs and associated risk management, asset protection for the extraction and sale of forest products, predominately quarry material.
- Administer the provisions of the Forestry Act 1959 and other relevant Acts and Regulations, ensuring a consistently high standard of compliance, as they impact on Forest Products business activities, approve sales within delegated authority and conduct all aspects of environmental and sustainable forest management in accordance with legislation, policies, sales permit, harvest planning documents, codes, ethical conduct and workplace health and safety standards associated with native forest management activities.
- Provide timely advice to Managers on marketing, management issues, policies, practices, and responses to operations, estates, assets, stakeholders and unauthorised operations.
- Prepare submissions, briefs and responses relating to business and operational management issues.
- Oversee designated quarry products sales involving planning, co-ordination of operations, field activities and compliance with contractual obligations and codes and initiate corrective actions.
- Undertake negotiations, consultations, and build working relationships with industry, clients, local and statutory authorities, government agencies and other stakeholders to address issues associated with current and planned operations.
