Forest School Nursery Practitioner – Ruddington Day Nursery, Nottingham

Salary: £26,666 to £28,018 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Ruddington Day Nursery in Nottingham, an Ofsted Outstanding setting, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Forest School Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, fostering curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Our nursery spans four bright, spacious floors, offering a warm, nurturing environment for children of all ages:
- Baby room: Designed for tender care
- Age-specific rooms: Inspire curiosity and support independence
Outdoor Play & Sports
- Spacious nursery garden: Features a mud kitchen, large sandpit, bike/scooter zone, construction area, and undercover play space (safe for all ages).
- Weekly sports sessions to develop fundamental movement skills through fun, active games.

Key Responsibilities
As a Forest School Nursery Practitioner, your role includes:
- Promoting high-quality care meet our nursery standards
- Supporting and supervising playroom staff in day-to-day duties
- Ensuring staff deployment aligns with nursery needs
- Adhering to keycarer procedures and assigning children accordingly
- Ensuring practice meets Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements
- Providing professional feedback to parents/carers
- Representing the nursery to current parents and prospective families
- Maintaining open and positive staff relationships across the team
- Fostering trust and collaboration with parents and carers
