As a Forging Operative, you won’t be standing on the sidelines—you’ll be at the heart of production, turning raw material into precision-engineered components customers depend on. This is hands-on, physical work where quality matters, output counts, and you can see the results of your effort every single day.
If you enjoy practical engineering, working with machinery, and being part of a team that delivers to tight lead times, this is a role where your contribution genuinely shapes the finished product.

What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Forging Operative
- Manufacturing components to high-quality standards within short production lead times
- Working flexibly across finishing, grinding, and forging departments to meet production demand
- Assisting with forging materials into complex shapes and engineered finishes
- Monitoring raw material condition throughout the production process
- Preparing machinery before production and carrying out post-production clean-down
- Ensuring finished products are prepared accurately for despatch
What you’ll bring to the table as a Forging Operative
- Previous experience within a heavy industrial or engineering environment
- Experience operating plant or machinery in a production setting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality standards
- Ability to work in physically demanding industrial environments
- Engineering process knowledge (metallurgy or chemistry advantageous)

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm (39 hours per week).
- Unpaid lunch break.
- Overtime available at enhanced rates.
