Job Description
Hourly Rate £13.63 per hour | Permanent, Full-Time

Join one of the UK’s leading pallet networks at our brand-new, purpose-built hub in Swadlincote. We’re looking for reliable, safety-conscious Forklift Truck Drivers to support our busy day operations and help keep freight moving efficiently across the country.
This is a secure, full-time, permanent opportunity within a fast-paced, professional environment where your forklift skills will play a key part in our daily operation.

Shift: Monday to Friday days, with shift times between 06:00 and 18:00
Salary: £13.63 per hour plus bonus earning potential of up to £1000 per year
What you’ll be doing:
- Safely operate LPG counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and organise palletised freight.
- Use forklift-mounted scanning technology to accurately record freight movements and support full traceability across the network.
- Handle goods with care and accuracy, following site scanning, labelling, and placement procedures.
- Work closely with Team Leaders and colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, proactively identifying and reporting risks or unsafe practices.
- Complete daily pre-use checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant with company standards.
- Support wider hub activity when required, including freight checks, bay organisation, and general operational support.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- A valid forklift licence, RTITB or equivalent, ideally with at least one year’s experience.
- Experience operating gas or diesel counterbalance trucks is preferred, although electric truck experience will also be considered.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills to support accurate paperwork and freight handling.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- A reliable, flexible, and team-focused approach.
