Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30
Salary: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE)

This is a predominantly field-based role where you'll visit customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklift trucks and warehouse equipment. There will also be occasional workshop-based work when required.
While previous forklift engineering experience is preferred, we are also keen to hear from engineers with transferable skills from industries such as plant, HGV, agricultural, construction equipment, powered access or other heavy mechanical sectors. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service while working on client sites.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
- Assist with workshop-based servicing and repairs when required.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer is desirable.
- Engineers from plant, agricultural, HGV, construction, powered access, automotive or similar mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
