Monday - Friday 0800-1700 (+/- 2 hours part flex)

About the Role

ASCO require a fully qualified Forklift Operator to support our quayside operations in the safe and efficient loading/offloading of cargo from vessels, vehicles, and Base areas, conducted in accordance with all procedures and regulations. Candidates must be currently qualified to operate 5-15T Counterbalance Forklifts.

Reporting to the Quayside Supervisor

  • Conduct daily Forklift checks, assisting in maintenance work as required, and complete all associated compliance documentation.
  • Visually inspect cargo prior to lifting to identify and report all snagging hazards, loose objects, and non-compliances.
  • Regularly review procedures, work aids, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct yard and gantry inspection duties, and assist in other areas of operational requirements, as required.
  • Continuously promote a proactive HSSEQ culture, ensuring participation and compliance, regularly reviewing procedures and risk assessments.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of customer service, processes, and cost effectiveness.

  • Banksman Slinger (OPITO Stage 1)
