Forklift Operator

Here at Americold, we are recruiting for a Forklift Operative based at our Spalding site.

This role is based within our Blast Freeze section, where you’ll be responsible for a mix of general operative and forklift duties in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading trucks as required
  • Transferring pallets from loading bays to designated storage areas
  • Operating within the Blast Freeze area, ensuring product integrity is maintained at all times
  • Receiving and dispatching pallets via Warehouse Management System (WMS) using handheld scanners
  • Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Carrying out general warehouse duties, including manual handling and product handling
  • Supporting packing and preparation of products for distribution
  • Adhering strictly to HACCP food safety standards and company procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

Sunday - Thursday (7am - 5pm)

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexible approach and willingness to adapt
  • Good communication skills

Desirable

Forklift licence (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)
