We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at our Kettering branch. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Safely operating a forklift to pick, load and unload vehicles.
  • Assisting customers, suppliers and delivery drivers on site.
  • Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required.
  • Occasionally making deliveries in a 3.5t dropside vehicle.
  • Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe, with high standards of presentation.
  • Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues.
  • Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns.
  • Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

  • A valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift.
  • Previous experience working in a builders’ merchant environment.
  • A full, clean driving licence.
  • The ability to work physically fit with manual handling.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong awareness of safety procedures.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Hours: 7am–4.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am–12pm alternate Saturdays.
  • 21 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays.
  • A discretionary bonus scheme.
