Customer Success
Forward-Deployed Consultant
Location
This position is currently available in the following locations:
- Hong Kong
- London, U.K.
- Remote / Hybrid friendly
Type
- Full Time
- Hired at multiple seniority levels (see below)
About The Role
We are looking for Forward-Deployed Consultants to lead enterprise AI engagements from kickoff to adoption. You will own the customer relationship, define the use-case backlog, and partner with a Forward-Deployed Engineer to take ideas all the way to production — and into daily use by the customer's business teams.
This is a hybrid of senior solutions consulting and AI product management. It is not a pure pre-sales role and not a delivery PM role — you are accountable for whether the AI actually changes how the customer works.
You Will
- Be the first batch of people defining what an AI-native consulting practice looks like in the region
- Own the customer relationship from the inside — running discovery, scoping, build oversight, and adoption
- Work in a remote and hybrid-friendly model — we do not require you to sit on customer site full-time. You are accountable for proactive customer touchpoints, structured checkpoints, and independent visibility on engagement health
- Be paired with a Forward-Deployed Engineer on every engagement — never deployed alone
- Be exposed to end-to-end transformation projects across banking, insurance, healthcare, construction, and public services
- Be coached by founders, former IBM Technology Thought Leaders, and a senior FDC team
Responsibilities
- Owning the customer relationship from project kickoff through adoption — partnering closely with the Enterprise Sales team that lands the account
- Running discovery workshops: mapping the customer's processes, pain points, data realities, and stakeholders
- Defining and prioritising the AI use-case backlog with the customer's business owners; framing problems in measurable business outcomes
- Selecting the right Reference Solutions from our internal library as starting points — and identifying when a custom build is needed
- Translating requirements with the Forward-Deployed Engineer; keeping scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations aligned
- Driving adoption: training, change management, success dashboards, executive readouts
- Running your own proactive engagement cadence — weekly checkpoints, written status, surfacing risks before they become escalations
- Capturing learnings, gaps, and recurring patterns; feeding them back to the Solution Architect team
- Briefing the Sales team for renewal and expansion — you are the trusted voice of the customer inside FabriXAI

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Skills & Requirements
- Background in senior solutions consulting, management consulting, AI / digital transformation, or enterprise customer success — Big-4, Palantir, IBM, McKinsey Digital, Accenture, BCG X or comparable backgrounds welcomed
- Strong interest in and basic literacy across at least one of the following:
- AI / LLM applications — what RAG, agents, evals, and guardrails mean in practice
- Enterprise system architecture — ability to read an integration diagram and understand the trade-offs
- Industry workflows in banking, insurance, healthcare, construction, or public services
- Comfortable working with engineers — you do not need to write code, but you are not afraid of it and can sketch a workflow in pseudo-code on a whiteboard
- Strong executive presence — you can earn the trust of a VP or C-suite stakeholder in the first 30 minutes and run a workshop the same afternoon
- Excellent written communication — your discovery memos, adoption plans, and executive readouts are the artefacts the customer remembers us by
- Proactive, low-supervision operator — you run your own checkpoints, raise risks early, and keep stakeholders informed without being chased
- Bias to adopted outcomes over deliverables shipped — you measure success by what the customer actually uses 90 days later
- Strong logical thinking, data sensitivity, and a "can-do" attitude under enterprise-grade constraints
- Strong sense of humor and a genuine team player — we win and lose engagements together
Seniority Levels & Career Path
This role is hired at multiple seniority levels — we calibrate the title, scope, and compensation to your experience and demonstrated impact. Stronger candidates land at Senior or Principal; high-potential early-career applicants enter at Associate with a structured coaching path. All levels are full members of the engagement team — Associates are not "assistants".
- Principal FD Consultant: 8+ years of relevant experience. Owns the largest and most strategic accounts. Mentors Senior FDCs, sets engagement standards, partners directly with Sales leadership on key pursuits.
- Senior FD Consultant: 5–7 years of relevant experience. Independently leads complex engagements end-to-end across multiple stakeholders; coaches mid-level FDCs; drives methodology improvements.
- FD Consultant: 3–4 years of relevant experience. Owns mid-sized engagements with light senior support; growing leadership scope across discovery, build oversight, and adoption.
- Associate FD Consultant: Early-career with strong potential, demonstrated drive, and a portfolio of customer-facing or analytical work. Pairs closely with Senior / Principal FDCs; structured 12–18 month coaching path to full FD Consultant.
