As Luma’s Forward Deployed Creative, you’ll redefine how our cutting-edge technology reshapes storytelling for the world’s top creators. This isn’t just implementing a playbook—you’ll develop it in real time, pioneering the workflows that define the future of AI-powered creativity.
Responsibilities
As the inaugural member of our Forward Deployed Creative function, you’ll:
- Collaborate with industry-leading brands and agencies as their trusted creative and strategic sounding board for generative AI.
- Design and prototype revolutionary production workflows, helping creative teams move faster and elevate their storytelling potential.
- Create high-impact, polished content using Luma’s Dream Machine, establishing benchmarks for what AI-driven storytelling can achieve and producing compelling case studies.
- Bridge the gap between technical complexity and business needs—acting as a strategic consultant to executives, translating sophisticated AI capabilities into actionable opportunities.
- Serve as an embedded extension of our Product, Partnership, and Sales teams, providing firsthand insights to shape forward-looking roadmaps.
- Build the groundwork for this new function, defining engagement strategies and setting best practices for time-specific creative partners.
- Educate and inspire the creative community by championing Luma’s impact and fostering growth in generative video as a new storytelling medium.

Ideal Candidate
Requirements
- Proven expertise in a scope-aligned role, such as Creative Technologist, Technical Director, or senior client-facing creative leadership within agencies, studios, or tech companies of global stature.
- A strong portfolio of shipped, high-quality creative work that exemplifies exceptional taste, technical mastery, and storytelling excellence.
- A builder’s mindset, with experience creating from scratch in dynamic, high-variability environments.
- Deep knowledge of creative production pipelines, including VFX, animation, motion graphics, or live production, equipped with the nous to invent new methods.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advise and educate senior stakeholders on integrating cutting-edge technology.

What Sets You Apart? (Bonus Traction Points)
