Forward Deployed Engineer

London (Hybrid) | Competitive Salary + Meaningful Equity

Build with customers. Solve real problems. Ship at speed.

The best engineers don't just write great software—they understand the people using it. We're partnering with a venture-backed product company that's building the next generation of technology in a hugely exciting space. Having raised significant funding from leading investors, they're now scaling an exceptional engineering team made up of talent from companies including Meta, Tessian and other world-class technology businesses. The founders are proven operators with a major exit behind them and years of domain expertise. They know the problem inside out, have strong product-market conviction and are building for the long term. They're now looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering and customers, helping bring ambitious products to life in real-world environments.

Why this opportunity stands out

  • Join one of the highest-calibre engineering teams in the startup ecosystem.
  • Work directly with customers to solve complex, high-impact technical challenges.
  • Huge ownership from day one with the opportunity to influence both product and engineering direction.
  • Meaningful equity in a well-funded company at an early stage.
  • Product-driven culture where customer feedback directly shapes what gets built.
  • Fast-moving environment with the autonomy to solve problems however you think best.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
