Forward Deployed Engineer – AI / Machine Learning – Contract – Remote (UK)
We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to support the deployment of advanced AI and Machine Learning solutions within a fast-growing defence technology environment.
This is a customer-facing role working directly with end users to understand operational challenges and rapidly translate them into production-ready AI solutions. You'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge ML research and real-world deployment, working closely with both engineering teams and customers to deliver mission-critical capability.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning
- Commercial experience with Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
- Experience deploying ML or AI solutions into production environments
- Comfortable working directly with customers and gathering technical requirements
- Experience working independently across multiple client engagements
- Active UK SC Clearance

Desirable:
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning
- Exposure to Spiking Neural Networks or advanced deep learning techniques
- Defence, aerospace, or other mission-critical industry experience
- Active DV Clearance
Additional Information
- Initial 6-month contract
- £700–£800/day
- Remote working with travel to customer sites across the UK
- Strong likelihood of extension
